Organics Recycling

To comply with California state regulations—SB 1383, AB 1826, and AB 341—the City of La Verne has partnered with Waste Management to implement a comprehensive organics recycling program. This initiative includes targeted outreach and education efforts to ensure businesses and multi-family properties understand and meet the requirements for recycling and organics diversion.

As part of the rollout, customers will receive letters detailing their responsibilities, invitations to workshops for guidance, and scheduled delivery of mandatory recycling and organics carts. These actions aim to help the community comply with state mandates, reduce landfill waste, and contribute to a greener, more sustainable future.
