Overview
The purpose of the Youth and Family Action Subcommittee (YFAC) Executive Board is to encourage, coordinate and facilitate the involvement of citizens and community organizations in combating the problems of substance abuse, gang activity, and community violence.
Mission
The three-fold mission of the Youth & Family Action Subcommittee is:
- To support positive activities and opportunities for young people
- To strengthen families
- To combat the problems of substance abuse

The members of the Youth & Family Action Subcommittee serve voluntarily and do not get paid any compensation. They are appointed by Parks & Recreation Commission Members and serve 4-year terms with a maximum of 2 terms.
